This policy explains what information milhomeex (Military Home Exchange, milhomeex.com) collects, how we use it and who we share it with. milhomeex is run by PCS Pay-It-Forward® (“we” or “us”).
The short version: we collect what you type into our forms, we use it to connect you with the agent, owner or PCS Pay It Forward ambassador you asked for, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Account details. When you create a free account, we ask for your email address, your name and what you're looking to do (rent, buy or list a home). You sign in with a one-time code we email you. There is no password.
- Messages and requests. When you contact an agent or owner, or ask for help (such as a VA Home Loan Snapshot, a refinance or a home equity line), we collect what you enter: your name, email, phone (optional), pay grade (optional), your message, and the home, agent or base it's about.
- Homes you list. If you list a home, we collect its address, details, photos, available or lease-end dates, and your contact details. The listing is shown publicly once it's approved (or only to signed-in members, if it's members-only). Your email and phone are not posted on the listing; families reach you through our contact form.
- Saved homes. If you save favorites, we keep that list with your account.
- Agent profiles. For agents and ambassadors, we show the profile details they provide or edit, such as name, photo, brokerage, license, bio, phone and the bases they serve.
- Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time) to run and protect the site. We don't use advertising trackers.
The VA Loan Estimator and BAH tools run in your browser. The numbers you type there (price, rate, BAH, pay grade) are not saved or sent to us.
How we use it
- To sign you in and run your account.
- To deliver your message or request to the agent, owner or ambassador you asked to hear from, so they can reply.
- To review listings before they go live and keep fake or unsafe listings off the site.
- To send the emails you need, such as sign-in codes, replies and updates about your listing.
- To keep the site secure and working.
Who we share it with
We share your information only to do what you asked:
- The agent or owner you contact. They get your message and contact details so they can reply.
- PCS Pay It Forward. milhomeex is the sister site of PCS Pay It Forward. Your account details and requests are added to PCS Pay It Forward's contact systems (PIF Pro) so your local ambassador can help you. If you ask about financing, PCS Pay It Forward may connect you with its lending partner, Pay-It-Forward Home Loans®.
- Service providers that run the site for us. Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Netlify (website hosting), Mapbox (maps), Resend (email delivery) and the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (turns a listed home's address into a map location; only the address is sent). They may use the information only to provide their service to us. When you turn on the school districts layer, your browser also asks the Census Bureau's TIGERweb service for district boundaries; it receives the map area you are viewing and, as any website does, your IP address and browser details, but not your name, email or account.
- When the law requires it, or when it's needed to protect someone's safety or stop fraud.
We never sell your information, and we never pass it to a network of lenders or agents. No credit pull. No obligation. No spam.
Agents, owners, brokerages and lenders you work with are independent businesses. Once you're in touch with them, their own privacy policies apply to what they do with your information.
Cookies
We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in (and, for site admins, to remember one panel setting). We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Maps load from Mapbox, which receives your IP address and browser details when a map loads, as any website you visit does.
Your choices
- You don't need an account to browse homes or use the VA Loan Estimator.
- Follow-up emails from milhomeex or PCS Pay It Forward include a way to unsubscribe.
- See, fix or delete your information. Email info@payitforwardtoday.com and we'll send you a copy of what we have, correct it, or delete your milhomeex account. We'll also ask PCS Pay It Forward to remove you from its contact list. Depending on where you live, state law may give you more rights, and we'll honor them.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and messages while your account is open, or while they're useful for your move, and then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Ask any time and we'll delete them sooner.
Security
Your information is stored with our service providers using encrypted connections and access controls. Only the people who need it can see it: you, the agent or owner you contacted, your local ambassador and our site admins. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive documents (such as a DD-214, Social Security number or bank details) through our forms.
For operational security, please don't share unit movement details, deployment schedules or anything else that could put service members at risk. We remove that kind of content when we find it.
Children
milhomeex is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also note it on the site or by email.
